Rihanna Would Like a Guy Who 's 'Cultured '... Just Not Right Now

Rihanna is one of “The Greats” according to T, the New York Times style magazine, which is honoring her along with Karl Lagerfeld, Quentin Tarantino, Steve McQueen, Jonathan Franzen, and Elizabeth Holmes for being “masters in their field.” And the interview itself, conducted by Miranda July, covers a ton of ground, including her lack of interest in dating at the moment.

“Guys need attention. They need that nourishment, that little stroke of the ego that gets them by every now and then. I’ll give it to my family, I’ll give it to my work — but I will not give it to a man right now,” she explained.

When asked what turns her on, however, Rihanna was quick to share. “I’m turned on by guys who are cultured,” she said. “That’ll keep me intrigued. They don’t have to have a single degree, but they should speak other languages or know things about other parts of the world or history or certain artists or musicians. I like to be taught.”

The singer also opened up about being a young black woman with power and what difficulties come with it. Check out the video to hear what she had to say and tune in to The Insider With Yahoo on TV tonight for the latest in entertainment news.
