In case the — we’ll call them colorful — tweets she sent Kanye West on Wednesday didn’t get the message across, Amber Rose has reaffirmed that she doesn’t give a bleepin’ bleep what anyone thinks.

The model sounded much more reasonable than she did in the heat of her Twitter feud with ex-boyfriend West in an essay published Thursday on Time magazine’s website.

In the piece, Rose, 32, explained that she’s been called a slut since high school and that’s continued through today. Men and women left her “torn down constantly,” she wrote. It’s only been in the past year that Rose has stopped caring about the opinions of others.

“But I realized that I can’t make everyone believe,” Rose shared. “And I can’t talk to everyone and tell them who I really am. They’re still going to have their own opinions. If you know me, you love me. If you don’t know me, you might love me, but you might not — and that’s cool. And you know what? Now I sleep like a baby at night.

"It wasn’t even that hard to stop caring what other people thought,” she continued. “I wasn’t married, and I didn’t have a boyfriend so I didn’t have to care about anyone else’s feelings or protect anyone’s heart. I thought, ‘This is my life. This is about me. If you don’t like it, I don’t care. I’m going to do anything and everything I want with my own life."

Rose’s essay was published one day after she proved once again that she really lives by those words. On Wednesday, West, who dated Rose for two years ending in 2010, mentioned Rose in two of the tweets he sent in a since-deleted rant against Rose’s ex-husband Wiz Khalifa. She wasn’t even the subject of the rant, but West never misses an opportunity to throw a jab at his former love.

West, listing a number of points, wrote that: "4th you let a stripper trap you.” (Rose is a former stripper.) “5th I know you mad every time you look at your child that this girl got you for 18 years."

Rose and Khalifa welcomed their son Sebastian in September 2012. The two were married in July 2013, then split in September 2014, and have at times been so friendly that there was speculation of a reunion.

Rose herself jumped in with two NSFW tweets. "Awww @kanyewest are u mad I’m not around to play in ur a**hole anymore? #FingersInTheBootyAssB***h,” she wrote in the first. Then, “Lol @kanyewest Now u wanna delete ur tweets cuz Muva has arrived? #TwitterFingers #UrGettingBodiedByAStripperN****."

She explained during an interview with the Allegedly podcast Wednesday afternoon that the reference to her son is what set her off.

"Listen, don’t talk about my kid. That’s all I’ve got to say,” she said in a preview of the episode airing Friday released to TMZ. “Just don’t talk about my baby. I wouldn’t have said anything if it was just between him and Wiz. That’s two grown men hashing it out. That’s their business. I would’ve kept it cute and just minded my business, but you don’t bring in my baby.” Rose also took issue with a song West released this week with lyrics that may or may not refer to her. When the host asked if Rose was surprised by the attack, she was clear. “No, because I know him,” she said. “I know he’s a f***ing clown. I know him."

Further proof of Rose’s boldness can be found in the SlutWalk she organized last October, the same month she released her book, How to Be a Bad Bitch, a term the book defines as "a self-respecting, strong female who has everything together. This consists of body, mind, finances, and attitude; a woman who gets her way by any means necessary.”

And stops at nothing to protect her child.
