Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Dorit Kemsley: 5 Things to Know About the New Star
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is returning for its seventh season on Dec. 6, and with it will come one new Housewife: Dorit Kemsley!
The fashion designer will join returning Housewives Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, Eileen Davidson and Erika Jayne Girardi for all the drama and fun on the hit Bravo series.
But who is Dorit Kemsley? Here are five quick facts to know about the new reality star.
1. She’s married to Paul Kemsley.
Kemsley is married to English businessman Paul Kemsley, a property developer who is also Chairman of the New York Cosmos and a producer of the film Pelé: The Birth of a Legend.
They tied the knot on March 7, 2015, in a lavish ceremony at New York’s famed Rainbow Room that was documented by Wedding Style magazine. She wore a dress by Naeem Khan, and he was outfitted in a Tom Ford suit.
The two met through friends in New York City, where Dorit lived at the time. They saw the Broadway musical Jersey Boys on their first date. “We went out and have been inseparable from that first night,” Dorit told Wedding Style.
Six months later, Paul moved from Los Angeles to the Big Apple to be with Dorit. And while they live in Beverly Hills now, they still chose N.Y.C. for their wedding — even dancing to The Four Seasons’ “My Eyes Adore You” from, yes, Jersey Boys.
“I felt like I was floating outside my body,” Dorit told Wedding Style. “I was filled with love and completely euphoric.”
2. The couple have two children.
Aside from being newlyweds, Dorit and Paul are also new parents.
They welcomed their 2-year-old son Jagger on March 11, 2014, and their daughter, Pheonix, on Feb. 23, 2016.
The two siblings appear to get along well. “Siblings that play together, stay together,” she captioned a sweet shot recently on Instagram.
And both Dorit and Paul seem to shower them with love — and endless Instagram shots.
“Hard to be mad the weekend is over when the first thing you see are these little love bugs!!” Dorit wrote recently. “I love my little babies so much!!”
Paul also has three children from his first marriage: son Daniel, 20, and daughters Atlanta, 15, and Tatum, 14.
3. She has ties to Lisa Vanderpump.
Paul calls Vanderpump a “dear friend” and has posed with her and her husband Ken Todd in a number of Instagram shots.
The foursome have spent time together, partying at Vanderpump’s restaurants and Dorit’s house.
4. And she’s close with Kyle Richards.
Perhaps it’s the real estate bond, but the Kemsleys appear to be getting along well with Housewife Richards and her realtor husband Mauricio Umansky.
The foursome recently partied at a ’20s-themed party shot for the show.
Richards even introduced Dorit to her pal (and RHOBH alum) Camille Grammer.
5. Paul is Boy George’s manager.
Yolanda Foster may no longer be on the show — or with music mogul David Foster — but that doesn’t mean A-list musical talent won’t be hanging around the show.
In addition to his many business dealings, Paul is also the manager to ’80s icon Boy George.
Through George, Paul’s spent time hanging with stars like Sting, Blondie and even Kris Jenner.
The three are so close, George even sang for the couple and their guests at their wedding.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returns Dec. 6 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
