Remember when Donald Trump promised that if America elected him, "we will have so much winning" that "you may get bored with the winning"?

...

Well, it's been a long week for President Trump, who, in just his second month in office, is coming up against the difficult realities of governing. And in his tumultuous time in the White House, the past five days were the absolute worst for him as president so far.

He came out of the gate swinging: His approval rating hit a low of just 37 percent, according to a Gallup poll. And then, in a stunning moment, FBI director James Comey revealed that the FBI has an open investigation into whether members of the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 election. It was a remarkable announcement.

That was just Monday.

The days that followed had members of Trump's own party pushing back on his unfounded claims that former President Obama had wiretapped Trump's communication in Trump Tower (in his testimony Monday, Comey also said that he had "no information" to support Trump's charge). They also included a damning Associated Press report that Paul Manafort, Trump's one-time campaign manager, had received tens of millions of dollars to aid Russian president Vladimir Putin.

On Friday came Trump's worst day yet. After he and the rest of the Republican party campaigned constantly on repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare - constantly! - they pulled its replacement bill, the Affordable Health Care Act, because it became obvious the legislation didn't have the votes to pass. It was a major setback for the party - and for the president.

In brief remarks after the spectacular failure, Trump blamed Democrats for not getting on board with the legislation. "The losers are Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, because they own Obamacare," he told reporters. And he left Americans who depend on the Affordable Care Act for health coverage with lots of hope, saying that "the best thing we could do, politically speaking, is let Obamacare explode."

But, hey, at least he got to ride in a truck!
