Gwyneth Paltrow

Hollywood loves making movies about country singers and many of the top talents in showbiz are more than happy to throw their 10-gallon hats into the ring to compete for the roles. Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow is one of many stars to go country. She appeared in the 2010 film drama "Country Strong," along with real-life country star Tim McGraw, playing an emotionally unbalanced singer, Kelly Canter, trying to reclaim her music career. Paltrow did her own singing for the movie and her rendition of the "Coming Home" was later nominated for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards. The actress has said that being in the movie gave her a new appreciation for country music: "I really fell in love with it. To discover a whole genre of music at 37 years old and … geek out on it was fun. I never thought I would be a country music fan, singer or anything."
