OMFG, These Doughnuts Glow in the Dark

Very important news: Glow-in-the-dark food is (possibly) the new galaxy food.

Last week, the internet lost it over glow-in-the-dark cotton candy at Disney parks and now a pastry shop in Australia is serving glow-in-the-dark doughnuts. The neon doughnuts are officially called ~*gLoNuTs*~ and they come from Black Star Pastry.

While doughnuts with icing that glows in the dark might seem a little weird, the bakery says no artificial ingredients are used. Glonut creator and Black Star Pastry owner Chirstopher Thé told the Daily Mail, "We would never create anything that was unnatural, even if it was a great idea."

The doughnuts' icing is a yuzu glaze that gets its glow from vitamin B, which is often used to create glow-in-the-dark food.

Thé also said, "Black Star is all about great techniques and real cooking; we never add dyes or additives to any of our products. We strictly adhered to this principle in order to make the glow in the dark doughnut happen."

The glonuts will be available during Sydney's Vivid festival at the Glow Cave Dessert Bar, which runs until June 17. Like the galaxy doughnut and doughnicorns before it, the glonut is taking over Instagram:
