Olivia Wilde Channels Debbie Harry With New Rock ’n’ Roll Blond ’Do
Olivia Wilde is KooKoo for her new blond hairdo.
The Vinyl alum has been posting a bunch of photos of her new look — buh-buh brown! — on Instagram, alerting her followers that she’s embracing the blond life. Her locks are short and platinum with really dark roots, and they’re making her feel like a rock goddess. Which one? Why, Debbie Harry.

She debuted the drastic new ’do at a party for Tiffany & Co.’s HardWear line on Tuesday. There, she bumped into old pal Kate Mara, who has her own new hardware now that she’s engaged to Jamie Bell, and joked that she “single white femaled” her with her similar hairstyle. (For those not old enough to remember, Single White Female is a creepy movie in which Jennifer Jason Leigh’s character goes psycho on Bridget Fonda’s and tries to steal her life. It doesn’t end well.)

“When you roll up to the party with your new look and it turns out you just single white femaled your friend you haven’t seen in a year,” she quipped.
This is the second of Wilde’s hairstyles to make headlines in recent months. In December, she chopped her locks so that she would no longer look like Melania Trump.
