Perhaps the most important thing to come out of this year’s Oscars is the above photo of Tom Hardy snapping a selfie with his The Revenant co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio, and his wife, Charlotte Riley. If you’ll look closely, you can see that Tom Hardy’s iPhone case is emblazoned with a photo of himself.
More specifically, it is a photo of Tom Hardy with his dog Woody.

Perhaps the most relatable thing about Tom Hardy is that he likes looking at photos of Tom Hardy as much as we like looking at photos of Tom Hardy.
Hardy is a dog lover and adopted Woody, a yellow lab mix, after he found him wandering along a highway in Atlanta while he was filming Lawless.
“I’m the finder of dogs, you know what I mean. My missus, she’s like, ‘You’re not allowed to bring another dog back from a job.’ But I’ll always find one,” Hardy, who has two children, told Vulture of his habit of finding stray dogs during film shoots. “On every job we go on, I’ll either find someone’s dog and look after it, or I’ll take my own dog, or I find a dog and we home it. I do find dogs. I brought one back from Brooklyn, actually, from [filming The Drop]. I found a dog there. But that’s it. We have two now at home. Can’t have any more for the moment. And actually, they’re a handful, two. But I love dogs. Like, A LOT. They’re my favorite animal. Ever.”
