Nick Carter Shares First Photo of His Son, Odin Reign

World, meet Odin Reign Carter!

Nick Carter shared the first photo of his nearly 2-week-old son in an Instagram post Friday, picturing Odin swaddled, eyes squeezed tight.

“I just love how peaceful he is,” Carter, 36, wrote in the caption. “Daddy will be home soon Odin.”

Carter and wife Lauren Kitt Carter welcomed their son on April 19, after a waterbirth at their home. The couple prepped for Odin’s arrival with a Game of Thrones-themed baby shower at their Hidden Hills, California, home.

While Carter has been busy — with a solo tour and his appearance on Dancing with the Stars in the fall, where he first revealed his wife’s pregnancy — he has said that he wants to take time out from his busy schedule to pamper his wife.

And just a few weeks before Odin entered the world, Carter said he couldn’t be excited for his wife.

“That’s the No. 1 reason why I wanted to be with her for the rest of my life, because I know she is going to be the perfect mother,” he told PEOPLE in April. “She is going to be the perfect person to help me, because I don’t know everything, but I know her intelligence, her just heart, her love and her compassion. These are things that my child is going to need.”
