Zara Phillips isn't giving up her beloved pastime just because she has a bun in the oven. Six days after Queen Elizabeth II's eldest granddaughter announced that she is expecting her first child with rugby player husband Mike Tindall, the 32-year-old competed in the Brightling Park International Horse Trials in Robertsbridge, England, on Sunday, July 14.
A spokesperson for Phillips recently defended the mom-to-be's decision to participate in equine sports while expecting: "She is being sensible about this and is listening to what doctors are telling her. She would never put her pregnancy in jeopardy."
Phillips won a silver medal at the Summer Olympics in London last year. She is the daughter of Princess Royal Anne and first husband Captain Mark Phillips; the athlete is currently 14th in line to the British throne.
