Saudi Prince Fires Back at Donald Trump Over Alleged Photoshopped Picture
Saudi prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal bin Abdulaziz mocked Donald Trump for using a photoshopped image to argue that he co-owns Fox News.
“Trump: You base your statements on photoshopped pics? I bailed you out twice; a 3rd time, maybe?” the prince tweeted, linking to a news story about him buying Trump’s yacht in 1991 when Trump was $900 million in debt.
On Thursday, Trump tweeted out a picture of Al-Waleed with Fox News host Megyn Kelly and another woman.

“Most people don’t know that the co-owner of Fox news is Prince Al-Waleed of Saudi Arabia here with his sister and with host Mygan Kelly,” he tweeted, spelling Kelly’s first name wrong. “In case you only watch Fox News and you missed it everywhere else. Google it!”
Trump posted the tweet while feuding with Fox News over the Republican debate he bailed out on this week because Kelly was co-moderating. He objected to her questioning him in August about his past comments about women.

However, many have since said the picture Trump tweeted is indeed photoshopped. Snopes.com reported that the picture was fabricated, and that a photograph of Kelly was inserted into it.
Al-Waleed, who is chairman of the board of Kingdom Holding Company, an investment holding company, has slammed Trump on Twitter before. In December, when Trump called for the ban on Muslims entering the United States, Al-Waleed said, “You are a disgrace not only to the GOP but to all America. Withdraw from the U.S presidential race as you will never win.”
As for the claim that Al-Waleed is the “co-owner” of Fox News, the New Yorker apparently Googled it. Here’s what the magazine concluded:
As bin Talal’s latest dig at Trump suggests, the two have a tangled past, stemming from the Prince’s history as an investor. According to Forbes magazine, he is the richest individual in the Arab world, with a net worth of more than seventeen billion dollars. On Wall Street, he is known for buying beaten-down stocks and holding onto them for a long time, and for being a passive investor. During the early nineties, he bought into News Corporation, Rupert Murdoch’s company. He is still the second-biggest investor, behind Murdoch, in 21st Century Fox, which was split off from News Corp. a couple of years ago (but to describe him, as the doctored image did, as the “co-owner” of Fox News is a big stretch). He also owns stakes in Apple, Disney, Citigroup, and Twitter.
