It was a big year of breakups in Hollywood, but among the many celebrity splits, four couples parting ways made headlines here at Us Weekly: Miley Cyrus and fiance Liam Hemsworth, Khloe Kardashian and husband Lamar Odom, Kris Jenner and husband Bruce Jenner, and Twilight lovebirds Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
Cyrus and Hemsworth called off their engagement for good in September, the Bangerz singer's rep confirmed to Us. The Hunger Games hunk, 23, and "Wrecking Ball" crooner, 21, had been dating on and off since 2010 and got engaged in May 2012 after meeting on the set of The Last Song.
After months of being estranged, Kardashian filed for divorce from Odom after four years of marriage in mid-December. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 29, and NBA player, 34, had been estranged in the final few months of their marriage following revelations of Odom's cheating and drug use.
After 22 years of marriage, Kris and husband Bruce Jenner separated, the Kardashian family matriarch confirmed exclusively to Us back in October. The talk show host, 57, and former Olympian, 63, did not proceed with a divorce when they announced their split and still remain on good terms -- Bruce even posed in the family's annual Christmas card following the news of their separation. "I will always love him, but we are no longer a couple in that way," she said.
Then there was longtime couple Stewart and Pattinson, who called it quits in May after they struggled, in vain, to repair their relationship following Stewart's fling in July 2012 with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. (Us Weekly exclusively broke the news in July 2012.) Despite trying to work it out, the couple ultimately parted ways. It was a tough time for Twilight fans, who followed the couple throughout the film series from 2008 to 2012.
