Keith Urban will not be returning as a mentor on the Australian version of The Voice in 2013, the country music superstar announced September 13.

"I've been so fortunate to have been a part of The Voice," Urban, 44, told Australia's Nine Network in a statement. "And as much as I'd love to do it again, it's clear that the recording and promoting of a new album, a tour and other commitments will keep me from being a part of the second season."

In addition to Urban, celebrity mentors on the show included "Kiss From a Rose" singer Seal, 49, Australian pop star Delta Goodrem, 27, Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden, 33. In its first season, Urban coached aspiring singer Darren Percival to a second place finish behind Seal's Karise Eden.
