Whatever, dude. Justin Bieber gave his fans -- sorry, his Beliebers -- a hellish Christmas Eve scare with a headline-grabbing Tweet. "My beloved beliebers I'm officially retiring," the Canadian-bred pop phenom, 19, tweeted to his nearly 48 million followers late Dec. 24.
After his fans predictably freaked out, the "Boyfriend" singer seemed to backtrack from the whole retirement thing, then blaming the media for the confusion.
"The media talks a lot about me. They make a up a lot of lies and want me to fail but I'm never leaving you, being a belieber is a lifestyle," he said mysteriously. To make sure there was no further misunderstanding, he then added:
"Be kind loving to each other, forgive each other as god forgave us through Christ Merry Christmas IM HERE FOREVER."
The fake-out was perfectly timed: Bieber's brand-new concert documentary, Believe, hits theaters on Christmas Day.
