What are you going to be for Halloween? Still looking for that perfect costume? Here are three options!
Beauty Collection's makeup artist Bri Boelsen has created some quick celeb-inspired Halloween looks and gives step-by-step instructions for how you can achieve them.
Kim Kardashian Look
Face: Always start any makeup look with a primer; I use Smashbox Original Oil Free Primer. Because Kim always looks flawless and airbrushed, I use Dermablend's Cream Foundation Medium Coverage Concealer and Quick Fix Illuminator. I apply the Illuminator on the cheekbones and down the center of the nose. Kim always wears a very pinky blush, so for this, I like Stila Cream Blush in Fuchsia. Add a little bit of a matte bronzer to add some contouring.
Eyes: To make the eye makeup pop and last all night long, I use Smashbox Photo Finish Eye Primer. I mix a dark brown eye shadow and a black sparkle eye shadow in the crease of the eye, and through the sides of the eye, to give it more of a winged look. Then, using an angled brush, continue the black eye shadow on the bottom lash line. Next, add a shimmer cream color eye shadow on the tips of the eye and eyebrow bone.
I use a creamy black eyeliner from Gorgeous cosmetics on the lash line, and waterline of the eye to add definition. Finish the eyes with Ardell long flare individual eyelashes for Kim's signature look.
Lips: I use a very glossy Stila Lip Gloss, in a nude color. There you have it, a signature Kim Kardashian makeup look.
Johnny Depp as Edward Scissorhands
Face: I like to start by using NYX Pore Minimizer and anti-shine to give a more matte look to Johnny Depp's Edward Scissorhands. I use an Elmer's glue stick over the eyebrows to conceal them. I also use Elmer's glue for the scars and randomly place them on the cheeks. While the glue is still wet, draw in a slit down the center of the glue with the back of a makeup brush, and wait for it to dry. I mix the white color with a very fair skin tone color from Makeup Forever's Flash Palette, to give it that pale look. Apply all over the face, including over the eyebrows and scars.
Eyes: Use a purple or blue eye shadow below the bottom eyelash line to create "sad" eyes and also add a little shadow to the crease of the eyelid. Throw on a black wig and scrunch it up high to create the characters look. It may look complicated but the Edward Scissorhands look will have heads turning.
Heath Ledger as The Joker
Face: To create the scars, use Elmer's glue on the sides of the face, make slits, and let them dry. I use the Makeup Forever Flash Palette in white, lightly all over the face with a sponge.
Lips: Mix a deep red lipstick with a red eye shadow to create the bloody scars.
Eyes: Dip an angled brush in water and then into black eye shadow to make little wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes. Use the same brush to line the upper lash line and lower lash line.
Finish off the look with some green wash-out hair spray on the hair, a purple jacket and tie.
