Look, up in the sky! It's a brand-new image of Henry Cavill as Superman in Man of Steel, and it's the clearest, crispest look at his costume yet.
Cavill graces the cover of the French film magazine Studio Cine Live in his costume, putting the Son of Krypton's arm cuffs and suit material details on display.
Director Zack Snyder's Man of Steel doesn't fly into theaters until next June, but with a brand-new teaser poster out this week and a new trailer set to debut before The Hobbit in theaters, it looks like the publicity floodgates are about to open and we'll see a whole lot more of Supe in his new costume -- sans red undies and spit-curl.
In the highly anticipated Man of Steel, Superman squares off against the villainous General Zod (Michael Shannon) and Zod's evil Kryptonian partner, Faora, played by Antje Traue. Amy Adams plays intrepid journalist Lois Lane, with Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as Martha and Jonathan Kent, the adoptive Earth parents of Clark Kent/Superman, and Russell Crowe and Julia Ormond as Supe's Kryptonian father and mother, Jor-El and Lara Lor-Van. The cast is rounded out by Laurence Fishburne as Daily Planet newspaper editor-in-chief Perry White, Harry Lennix as U.S. military man General Swanwick and Christopher Meloni as Colonel Hardy.
