February may be the shortest month of the year, but for me, it's always truly one of the most packed.
There's the Super Bowl, NY Fashion Week, the Grammys, and Valentine's Day, not to mention....my birthday! Here are a few other things to check out this month.
GOLD STYLE STANDARD: The granddaddy of all award shows...the 85th Annual Academy Awards take place on Sunday, February 24. I'll be there to check out all the fashions... can't wait to see what Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway have in store for us.
"FLOWER" GIRL DREW BARRYMORE: How much do we love Drew Barrymore? The new mom has created her own affordable cosmetics line called "Flower." There are more than 175 products in the line and nothing costs over $15! Available at Walmart.
AFFORDABLE DESIGNER COLLABS: There are quite a few designer collections hitting your local stores in the next few weeks. The Prabal Gurung Collection for Target features lots of digital prints. There are more than 90 pieces including dresses, tops, bags and shoes. Available February 10. Over at jcp, British designer Lulu Guinness creates her first exclusive collection with a retailer with her LULU by Lulu Guinness line of accessories. Prices start at $20, available February 22. And Nanette Lepore has designed an apparel collection for the chain, L'Amour Nanette Lepore launches today.
LOBSTER ANYONE? I thought I had seen it all until I heard about the new firming and toning lotion "shrinking BEAUTY" from DERMAdoctor. The lotion, which is debuting this month, features "lobster weight loss inspired technology." Apparently, lobsters produce a hormone that deflates fat cells to help them lose weight so they can wiggle out of their shells. Who knew?
TOPSHOP OPENS! This one is huge for everyone here in Southern California. My favorite store in the whole world (oh, how I miss London's Oxford Circus Topshop!) is opening here at the Grove. Finally! I'm sure the lines will start forming days early...it opens February 14 at 4pm...sharp!
