When Anne Hathaway, 29, was cast as Catwoman, there was one thing that ‘dominated her thoughts’ — the dreaded catsuit! “Everything I put in my mouth related back to how it would affect my time in the gym…There’s a lot of expectation, and I wanted to rise to it,” she says.
To prepare for the role, the actress limited her diet to 1500 calories a day and followed a vegetarian diet. To help her build muscle and learn to ‘move and react like a cat,’ trainer Arin Babaian had Anne doing ‘grueling’ routines of squats, lunges, strength training, kettlebells, and intensive circuit training, including ‘box jumps, pull-ups and handstand push-ups.’ Arin told Life & Style, ” as she mastered the moves, we added a stopwatch —and she had to do it faster.” Anne says, “I went into the gym for 10 months and I didn’t come out.”
