Adam Scott's spiffy new green jacket may mark him as a Masters champ, but the Australian athlete is not, he confirmed on Wednesday, April 17, an eligible bachelor.
"It's embarrassing but flattering," he told CBS This Morning of all the female attention he's attracted since setting foot in the media spotlight. "I'm not single at all. I am very much in a relationship and very happy for the moment."
The hunky 32-year-old golfer took home the top honors on Sunday, April 14, and was reportedly eyed for a starring role as the next Bachelor, E! News claimed earlier this week.
"We are definitely going to pursue [Scott]," the source said at the time. "So far, no meeting's been set but we're trying. He could be a perfect fit … We're also considering other people Bachelor fans already know."
Though Scott remained tight-lipped about the identity of his lucky lady, only copping to her first name ("Marie"), it is believed that the woman in question is Marie Kojzar, a Swedish architect that he dated on-and-off since 2001, according to Sports Illustrated.
"My girlfriend is a really ambitious person," Scott told the magazine back in 2008. "She hasn't been going to school all these years to not put that knowledge to use."
For now, however, Scott said that he's still wrapping his head around his first major championship win -- and Australia's first win in the tournament as well.
"We like to think we're the best at everything," he told the Associated Press after his victory Sunday. "Golf is a big sport at home, and this is the one thing in golf we hadn't been able to achieve. It's amazing that it's my destiny to be the first Australian to win. It's incredible."
