Suited And Booted For Christmas: Inside Duchess Kate’s Festive Wardrobe

Christmas may’ve been all novelty jumpers and pajamas for the majority of us, but the Duchess of Cambridge had to stay looking as elegant as always thanks to two royal engagements.

Kate joined the Queen and numerous other members of the royal family to attend two church services over the course of the last few days – which cheering crowds and photographers couldn’t wait to catch a glimpse of her at.

On Christmas Day, the 33-year-old chose to keep to the festive theme in a green ensemble that she wore to the service held on the Sandringham estate – at the same church that Princess Charlotte was christened at in July.

She arrived with Prince William and Prince Harry but Charlotte and Prince George were nowhere to be seen – despite rumours that the latter may make his first appearance at the traditional event.

Kate looked as refined as always in a £70 patterned dress by Great Plains under a calf-length belted coat by high-end label Sportmax, costing £611. She pinned a pretty oak leaf and acorn broach to it – a nod to the Middletons’ coat of arms.

The mum-of-two completed her look with a Lock and Co hat, “Rhumba” Aquatalia boots, her go-to Mulberry clutch and a pair of earrings by Kiki McDonough.

The Duchess also attended a post-Christmas service with the Queen yesterday. This time, she ditched the festive hues and opted to wear a purple tweet jacket and matching midi length skirt that she’s been spotted in before.

The suit’s another designer combo from Kate’s expansive wardrobe. It’s by US fashion designer Michael Kors and rings in at around £400.

She previously wore the understated aubergine ensemble during her royal tour of Australia and New Zealand, which she embarked on with Prince William and Prince George in 2014.

On Sunday, the Duchess paired the suit with her favourite Aquatalia suede knee high boots and a black embellished hat that sat on top of her newly shortened brunette locks.
