Muhammad Ali's Children Share Grief and Love on Social Media Following His Death: 'God Bless You Daddy'

To Muhammad Ali's children, he wasn't just "the greatest."

The boxing legend was also a teacher, a hero and a "humble mountain," according to a series of heartbreaking social media posts published just hours after his family announced his death at 74.

"The Greatest Man that ever lived. Daddy my best friend & my Hero," daughter Rasheda Ali tweeted. "You R no longer suffering & now in a better place." (Muhammad had been hospitalized earlier this week for respiratory complications following a long battle with Parkinson's disease.)

Daughter Hana Ali tweeted, "Our father was a 'Humble Mountain!' And now he has gone home to God.

"God bless you daddy. YOU ARE THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!"

And in a lengthy Instagram post, son Asaad Ali wrote that Muhammad "taught me so much the last 25 years ... that will forever be imprinted on my soul."

"I'm able to sit here and [write] this post without falling apart because I honestly know you are in a greater place," Asaad continued.

Shortly before his death, daughter Laila Ali shared a heartwarming shot of her father snuggling with her daughter, Sydney.

"I love this photo of my father and my daughter Sydney when she was a baby," she wrote. "Thank for all the love and well wishes. I feel your love and appreciate it!!"

Muhammad's death has triggered a worldwide outpouring of tributes, grief and love from fans and public figures alike, including both the Clinton and Obama families.

Muhammad's family said he will be laid to rest following a funeral in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.
