Mother-in-Law of Slain Texas Fitness Instructor Writes Letter to Unidentified Suspect: 'Clear Your Conscience, You Will Feel Better'

The mother-in-law of Terri "Missy" Bevers, the 45-year-old Texas fitness instructor found dead in a church last month the morning she was to teach a fitness class, posted a public letter on Facebook Saturday to her killer, who is still unidentified and at large.

Tucker's letter is the second such letter she has written to the suspect. It begins: "It has been 2 weeks since I wrote the 1st letter to you. Almost 3 weeks since you murdered Missy."

It continues: "I would guarantee your life has been more miserable than ours! Our life has been filled with peace that you wouldn't understand. Something only a God-fearing, saved by Jesus, person truly understands! We have been blessed by so many wonderful people, willing to share our grief, by praying with us, preparing meals for her family and just blessing us with all of their actions in so many ways!"

A search warrant released last week led investigators to believe that Bevers and her husband, Brandon Bevers, had been having marital and financial problems. The search warrant also revealed that Bevers had received LinkedIn messages from a man she didn't know that made her uncomfortable. Brandon Bevers had previously described his wife to reporters as "a great woman, a great wife, a great mother, and a great friend."

Tucker's letter seems to address the recent alleged revelations about the Bevers's marriage, reading, "I assume you were jumping up and down when the news [broke] about her life [being] not as perfect as a lot of people thought. Well, let me tell you a little secret you may not comprehend. No, she wasn't perfect and she never claimed to be.

"But, the secret is, there is something called 'agape' love. Meaning, there really is a love you have, that no matter what you have done in the past or present, you still love them! I know her husband does, her 3 girls, her mom, brothers, all her family and friends. Sorry, there is nothing that can ever change that! I'm sure that disappoints you. But, it's the truth!!"

The letter concludes: "Things would be a lot easier on you to just go ahead and turn yourself in. I'm sure the officials will take that into account.

"Go ahead and clear your conscience, you will feel better. No sense in having your family witness you being picked up by the police and leaving that lasting vision on their minds forever! We are all waiting! It's one way or the other!!"

Warrants Reveal Details of Investigation

The murder suspect was seen on church surveillance video wearing police tactical gear and carrying a hammer. Authorities can't confirm whether the suspect is male or female.

Arrest warrants released last week by the Midlothian Police Department obtained by PEOPLE state Bevers, 45, died of multiple puncture wounds to the head and chest, and that her injuries "are consistent with the tools the suspect was carrying throughout the building."

Another warrant released was for the Dry Cleaner Super Center of Midlothian: On April 22, an employee of the business called police to report that Randy Bevers, Missy's father-in-law, brought in four shirts to be cleaned. One woman's shirt, which was white, was given to them "with what appears to be blood spots/stains on it," the warrant states.

"Randy Bevers told the clerk that the stains on the white shirt were 'animal blood,'" according to the document.

In her previous letter to Bevers's killer, Tucker wrote, "Do you even realize what you have done to her daughters, husband, our whole family? Was it really worth it? Why did you think this was so necessary?"

In April, Tucker told PEOPLE she believed Bevers was "targeted," a comment that echoed one her sister-in-law, Kristi Stout, made to NBC's Dateline.

"I think she was targeted," Tucker told PEOPLE. "When I think and think about this, the only thing I could think of is I could see where a woman maybe was jealous of Missy."
