Miley Cyrus Helps Ex-Fiancé Liam Hemsworth Adopt a Puppy

Miley Cyrus should start her own animal rescue, because she was all about pairing pets with peeps this past weekend.
The singer put down her pot pipe long enough to help two dogs find their furever homes. And not just any homes — we’re talking VIP accommodations. One of the pups she helped place went home with her ex-fiancé, Liam Hemsworth. Wylders, a holistic pet center and rescue facility in Studio City, California, shared on their social media sites that the Aussie actor adopted a pup named Dora the Explorer thanks to the “Wrecking Ball” singer.
“Thanks @mileycyrus for loving dogs as much as we do!! You helped find this gigantic, 6 month old puppy a new home. @liamhemsworth you will give this deserving baby a great life!” the animal rescue posted on Instagram Saturday.
The news about the truly gigantic pup was also shared on the organization’s Facebook page.
“This gorgeous girl is now known as Dora the Explorer,” it said. “She is the sweetest girl and deserves a huge home on the beach with her new dad!! I mean wish we all could go with her!! Have a blessed life.”
It’s unclear to what extent Miley helped her ex meet Dora (her sister Brandi Cyrus recently told Entertainment Tonight that Miley hadn’t spoken to Liam “in a while”), but the two are still connected.
Last year, Hemsworth told Nylon Guys, “There’s no bad blood there,” when asked about Miley. He elaborated in an interview with Men’s Fitness last month.
“Look — we were together five years, so I don’t think those feelings will ever change,” he said. “And that’s good because that proves to me that it was real. It wasn’t just a fling. It really was an important part of my life and always will be.”
As for Miley’s fun and free lifestyle, he added, “She’s a free spirit. I think she’ll always surprise people with what she does, but she’s not a malicious person in any way. She’s a young girl who wants to do what she wants to do.”
And on Saturday, what Miley wanted to do was to help her pal Wayne Coyne of Flaming Lips fame adopt a dog as well. Wearing her favorite pot-leaf pajamas, the two hit up a rescue event sponsored by The Bella Foundation. There, they found Yogi, who Wayne and his girlfriend adopted, and Miley hopes the mutt will be BFFs (best furry friends) with her dog Milky.

Cyrus — who has a large animal menagerie, including a pig and a dog with one eye — shared photos of Yogi on Instagram. “When Milk comes 2 visit @waynecoyne5 @katyweaver w me she has a bestie!!!” she wrote.
Miley added, “Him and I had a spesh connection from da first time we saw each othaaaa.”
What a matchmaker that Miley is! As for Liam’s dog, Dora reportedly will make her TV debut tonight. According to the Wylders Facebook page, the hunk will bring the dog along to an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! That doggie scored, thanks to Miley.
