Michelle Obama Spits Some Sick Beats About Going to College

Michelle Obama is dropping some serious rhymes in a new rap music video to promote the Obama administration’s “Better Make Room” initiative to encourage kids to seek a higher education. FLOTUS is joined by Saturday Night Live’s Jay Pharaoh in the video featured on College Humor and while it is hilarious, the message to aim high, go to college, and land the dream job is everything.

“South Side Chicago, we all know / We had to do overtime every night to make it tomorrow,” Obama raps. “And everyone could really make their dream come true / Hey kid, listenin’ in Michigan that could be you."

The first lady is all about using music for good. She recently revealed her go-to girl power playlist on Spotify as a way to spread women empowerment. The mixtape includes tracks from Beyoncé, Diana Ross, Demi Lovato, and Alicia Keys to name a few. In March, Obama broke it down on The Ellen Degeneres Show promoting the 5th anniversary of her health and fitness campaign, “Let’s Move.” In April, she went on The Tonight Show and brought us the “Evolution of Mom Dancing - Part 2” for “Let’s Move” too.
