Man Recreates Beyoncé’s Pregnancy Photos to Support Body Positivity

Last week, Beyoncé’s pregnancy announcement and all the glorious accompanying photos effectively took over the news.

Many were inspired by her revealing poses, including Ben Yahr, an actor based in L.A.

With the help of photographer Matthew Dean Stewart, he was motivated to recreate a handful of Beyoncé’s photos — even going fully nude to stay loyal to the original.

You might be thinking that Yahr is just a really really big Beyoncé fan — which he is, but he also wanted to convey a message of body positivity. He told Yahoo Celebrity, “I want to show people that they’re gorgeous and fierce like Bey, no matter what shape they are. It’s a statement about loving yourself.”

Other Beyoncé impersonators have popped up online as well. Comedian Chelsea Peretti — who’s married to fellow comic Jordan Peele — announced her own pregnancy in this photo, captioned, “beyonce shmonce.”

But two cast members of Grey’s Anatomy went the extra mile with a nearly exact replica of Beyoncé’s first Instagram post. Ellen Pompeo and Camilla Luddington even put their acting skills to work in a brief scripted scene.
