Macklemore Shares Naptime Photo With Daughter Sloane, Turns Us Into Mush

Talk about a precious moment.
Macklemore shared an intimate look at life at home with his new daughter, Sloane, by posting an adorable photo of them sleeping side by side in bed. The rapper, 32, is catching some shut eye while his little cherub, who was born May 29, is swaddled and sleeping soundly — with a smile on her sweet face — next to him.
It’s one of those photos that doesn’t need a caption, but the “Thrift Shop” singer added one anyway and it was perfect: “There is nothing better."
This is the third photo this week that he’s shared of his daughter with wife Tricia Davis, whom he married in June. The Seattle native also posted a shot of his mini me outfitted in Seahawks gear while propped up on the couch against a Boppy pillow.

The other shot was a throwback photo taken in August during a break from filming his "Downtown” music video. Sloane, looking much smaller, is chilling on her dad, whose green leather ensemble doesn’t look nearly as cozy as those high-thread count white sheets.

Of course, with the Internet being the Internet and the parenting community being the parenting community, commenters are of course pointing out all the things Macklemore, who real name is Ben Haggerty, is doing wrong in the photos. (The baby shouldn’t be in bed with him, the Boppy shouldn’t be on the couch, et cetera and so on.) Ryan Reynolds can relate.
Over the summer, Macklemore released “Growing Up (Sloane’s Song),” a collaboration with Ed Sheeran, in honor of his daughter. He also spoke about how fatherhood is helping him stay sober.
“It was a wake-up call that I desperately needed,” the singer, who relapsed in 2014, told MTV about learning Davis was pregnant. “Like you’re about to be a dad. Dude, stop doing drugs and lying to people and sneaking around. Like do you want to live life or do you want to escape life? That was one of those pivotal turning points.”
And when he first laid eyes on his little girl, he felt an instant change in his life.
“It’s this unconditional love that happens instantaneously,” Macklemore said of Sloane’s birth. “That was one of the coolest things.”
