Lindsay Lohan Wants You to Mock Her Strange Accent for Charity

As Americans go to the polls to cast their vote for the next president, Lindsay Lohan is embracing her international lifestyle, including the muddled accent the world noticed she’d taken on last month.

The actress is now selling T-shirts, sweatshirts, and tank tops that read, “I Only Speak Lilohan,” a take on the Internet’s reaction to her remarks at the opening of her new nightclub in Athens. Lohan let people know she was in on the joke last week, when she tweeted, “what should I call my new accent? I’m thinking #LILOHAN.”

Besides living abroad for the past two years and traveling, the 30-year-old said her accent is influenced by the many languages she speaks. (Who knew?!)

“It’s a mixture of most of the languages I can understand or am trying to learn,” Lohan told the Daily Mail. “I’ve been learning different languages since I was a child. I’m fluent in English and French can understand Russian and am learning Turkish, Italian, and Arabic.”

Her new Lilohan merch is not only pretty funny — you’ve got to give her credit for being able to laugh at herself — but a portion of the proceeds go to charity. The pieces are being sold for $24.99 to $39.99 through Nov. 22.

“I wanted to turn a silly viral event into something positive for the world,” Lohan says on the website. “I speak ‘Lilohan’ in order to voice support for AFAD and Caudwell Children; two charities incredibly close to my heart.”

Caudwell Children helps disabled children in the U.K., while AFAD, the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency of Turkey, provides aid to people affected by earthquakes in Turkey and helps to support Syrian refugees. Lohan learned a lot about the latter cause on a trip to Turkey last year.

And she’s pretty passionate about it. She teased that if she can sell all of the merchandise, she’ll perform some certain moves from Mean Girls.

“Yes! I’ll do the Jingle Bell Rock but only if it is with the new president,” she told the Daily Mail.

It’s the patriotic thing to do.
