Need a Lift? Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe Mug It Up at The Nice Guys Premiere

Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe are ready to jump-start their Nice Guys shenanigans.

The dapper leading men arrived at the Los Angeles premiere of their new comedy, directed by Iron Man 3's Shane Black, in a vintage convertible. When they got to the TCL Chinese Theater, they pretended to push the car.

"I think that it is just a great ride, this film," Gosling, 35, told PEOPLE on the red carpet. "It's really like taking some crazy drugs, I am told," he joked.

Gosling says working with Crowe on this buddy comedy was "a dream." The Gladiator actor, 52, said he knew he and Gosling "would get on very well."

"We just listen to each other," said Crowe. "We might start a scene but I don't make any assumptions about where he’s going to go in that scene. If he jumps off a cliff halfway through, I'll jump off with him."

Gosling attended the premiere almost two weeks after he and wife Eva Mendes welcomed their second daughter, Amada Lee Gosling. And he appeared happy to receive well-wishes on his new baby girl, smiling when asked about her by Entertainment Tonight.
