Lamar Odom Returns Home... to the Staples Center

Following his drug overdose and coma last October, Lamar Odom kept a very low profile as he recovered. But since he made his debut at Kanye West’s NYFW show in February, he appears to be everywhere. Wednesday night, Odom attended a Los Angeles Lakers game at the Staples Center as a guest of Kobe Bryant. The two were teammates when Odom played for the Lakers from 2004 to 2011.

The Lakers welcomed Odom home in a tweet.

After spending months focused on physical therapy and his recovery, Odom is getting back to having a life following his brush with death. On Saturday night, Odom went to a bar in Sherman Oaks with some friends. While the initial reports that Odom was drinking again raised some concerns, the owner of Johnny O’Briens has said that Odom only had one cognac and was only at the bar for an hour.

“He was in a good mood, smiling and laughing with his friends, but they stayed for just an hour and left around 1 a.m.” the bar’s owner, who was not identified, told E!.

The following day, Odom spent Easter Sunday with the Kardashians, first going to church, and then to an Easter egg hunt and Kim and Kanye’s house.

While Odom was with the Lakers, the team won two NBA championships and it seems he’s still their good luck charm; the Lakers beat the Miami Heat Wednesday night 100-102 in overtime.
