Lamar Odom Hospitalized After Being Found Unconscious in Nevada Brothel

Lamar Odom has been hospitalized in what is being described as “serious” condition after Nevada authorities say he was found unconscious in his suite at a state brothel on Tuesday.
The ex-husband of Khloé Kardashian and former NBA star, who has waged a sad, public battle with addiction for the past few years, checked into the Love Ranch South brothel in Pahrump, Nevada, over the weekend “and was partying with the girls for days,” according to TMZ, which first reported the news. While there, Odom supposedly combined “herbal Viagra” and alcohol (no mention of other drugs). He was found unresponsive in his hotel room and the manager immediately called 911. Sources told the website, “It’s not good.”

Odom, 35, was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where doctors placed breathing tubes in his throat, according to TMZ. According to a statement posted on Facebook by the local Nye County Sheriff’s Office, the hospital made arrangements to have Odom flown to a Las Vegas facility, “however, Mr. Odom was unable to be transported by air due to his stature. He was immediately transported by Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Ambulance to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas for further treatment.”
Odom has yet to regain consciousness and his current condition is “serious,” according to People, which also reported that Khloé Kardashian has been notified of the situation. There was no immediate comment from the reality star.
A formidable presence for the Los Angeles Lakers during their last two championship seasons, Odom married Kardashian in 2009. They separated four years later as his substance abuse worsened. They have remained close, however, not finalizing their divorce until this past July.
