Kristin Cavallari Remembers Her Late Brother on 1-Year Anniversary of His Death: ‘Love and Miss You So Much’

Kristin Cavallari is paying tribute to her late brother on the 1-year anniversary of his death.

A year after The Hills star’s brother, Mikey, was found dead in Utah nearly two weeks after he went missing, the mother of three is honoring his legacy and the impact he had on her life.

On Monday, Kristin, 29, took to Instagram to share a throwback photo of her brother with a heartfelt post.

“The last few days have been tough…yesterday was the anniversary of my brothers passing. There hasn’t been a day that’s gone by where I haven’t thought of him and missed him,” Cavallari began.

“I know he is watching over me and my family though from all of the amazing signs he has given us,” Kristin continued.

She concluded the tribute: “Love and miss you so much, Mikey.”

On Dec. 10, 2015, Mikey was found dead at around 10:30 a.m. in Utah, three miles from his abandoned car, after an extensive search in the desert outside of Green River.

After learning about his death, Kristin shared a childhood picture of her next to her brother on social media. “My heart is in a million pieces,” she wrote. “Mikey, I could always count on you to make me laugh. You had such a good heart and will be forever missed. I’m at a loss for words but I know u are in a better place and finally at peace. I love u so much RIP,” she captioned the Instagram photo.

The Grand County Sheriff’s Office later ruled Michael’s death as hypothermia in February. “The Medical Examiner’s Office has determined the death as accidental with the cause of death, hypothermia from exposure to cold environmental temperatures,” the sheriff’s office said.
