Koala Causes the World's Cutest Traffic Jam While Crossing an Australian Highway

Residents of Brisbane, Australia, experienced the world's tiniest traffic jam one recent morning after a koala crossed into the highway and showed no hurry in crossing back out.

"Serious road incident on Brisbane Valley Highway this morning," one onlooker, Mike Phipps, posted with obvious jest on Facebook Saturday. "Road closures in both directions. Police officer showed great restraint in not arresting offender."

"Only in Australia!" he added. "Made our day."

As the koala walked across the road, it soon attracted a small crowd of people, who exited their cars to get a closer look at the furry pedestrian.

Soon enough, it apparently returned to a more natural habitat: a nearby tree.
