Kit Harington Shaved His Beard and We’re Not Sure About His New Look

Halt, who goes there? Kit Harington debuted a very different look at a showing of his new London play,Doctor Faustus, earlier this week, and fans of the Game of Thrones actor are torn about his freshly beardless face.

In a series of close-up photos of his smooth face that fans shared via Twitter on Wednesday, June 1, the 29-year-old actor looks years younger with a clean-shaven face, a far cry from his grizzled look as Jon Snow on this hit HBO show.

(His new look also caused some fans of the series to speculate about the fate of his character, fearing he might die again.)

On the topic about his appearance, in a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Harington pointed out the blatant “double standard” of sexism that is pervasive throughout Hollywood.

“If you said to a girl, ‘Do you like being called a babe?’ and she said, ‘No, not really,’ she’d be absolutely right. I like to think of myself as more than a head of hair or a set of looks,” Harington told the publication. “It’s demeaning. Yes, in some ways you could argue I’ve been employed for a look I have. But there’s a sexism that happens towards men. There’s definitely a sexism in our industry that happens towards women, and there is towards men as well.”
