Kim Kardashian Geeks Out Over Final 5 at the VMAs, While Ariana Grande Geeks Out Over Kim K.
There was a whole lotta fangirling going on at the MTV VMAs.
Kim Kardashian tore herself away from Kanye West’s side long enough for a fun photo op with the Final Five. Well, technically four — Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Laurie Hernandez, and Madison Kocian — because their teammate Gabby Douglas didn’t attend, because she’s recovering from an undisclosed illness.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 35, posed for several group photos with the Olympic gymnasts, including one that made it to Snapchat. If you want to get a sense of how petite Kardashian is, know that the tallest gymnast is 5-foot-2.
Kim also took a selfie with Biles, 19, that she put on the social site. Biles was a favorite in the Kardashian-West household. Leading up to the Olympics, Kim recorded a clip, posted by NBC, in which she wished her the best of luck at the Olympics. In a resulting Twitter exchange with Biles, Kim wrote that North, 3, had “just started gymnastics.”
While Kim got to geek out over the pint-sized powerhouses, someone else — namely Ariana Grande — got to geek out over her. At one point during the show, the women came together for a photo op. We’re not sure if it was the first time they were meeting, but the “Side to Side” singer, 23, was clearly elated.
Ariana giddily covered her mouth. She giggled. She also kissed the reality star.
The women also got their Snapchat on (with Bambi filters) because if it wasn’t Snapped, did it ever even happen?
They have both publicly spoken about being fans of each other. Back in 2013, Kim tweeted that she admired the ponytailed singer — and she even lipdubbed one of her songs for a Snapchat earlier this year. Ariana has also applauded Kim’s promise of nude selfies until she dies.
Sounds like they’re BFF material. Heaven help us.
