Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Make Music Together
What’s better than date night with Orlando Bloom? How about date night with Orlando Bloom and a bunch of your best friends? That magical evening is exactly what Katy Perry got on Saturday evening, when she hit up a birthday party for her bestie, Westworld actress Shannon Woodward, with Bloom by her side. TV personality Ronan Farrow and Woodward’s Raising Hope co-star Kate Micucci rounded out the star-studded crew for the festivities, which included some lively stints of karaoke.
Fortunately, Farrow served double-duty as partygoer and historian, documenting much of the night on Instagram. “When your friends commit to the Karaoke,” he captioned a lively snapshot featuring a blond Bloom smack in the center and rocking out with pride. (Perry can be seen perched in the corner, singing her heart out.)

In addition to the pics, Perry shared a Snapchat of the gang belting out Avril Lavigne’s “Complicated” with the caption, “This is what the holidays looks like.” Farrow, meanwhile, shared a video of everyone (but especially Perry) rocking out to Alanis Morissette’s “You Oughta Know.” Though Perry was primed with a microphone, it looked like everyone in the (packed!) party was getting in on the action.
The 32-year-old star wore a sparkly red top over a crisp white shirt for the occasion and stood a bit elevated above the rest of the crowd as she led the way through that challenging song. (Bloom looked to be dressed a bit more casually — though not as casually as when they went paddle boarding.)

But Perry and Bloom have never really been shy about their relationship or tried to hide it. Recently, Perry revealed that she thinks they learn a lot from one another. “He’s been a UNICEF ambassador for over 10 years and I’ve only been a few years so he’s kind of shown me some of the ropes,” she said at the annual UNICEF Snowflake ball. “Everyone is a teacher in a relationship, that’s how I see it now. We’ve taught each other a lot.”
From working to make the world a better place, to mastering nude water sports to leading epic karaoke numbers, we’d have to agree. Now let us all go figure out how to up our birthday party game next time around.
