Kanye West Shares Sweet Message on Late Mother's Birthday – Says North Asks to See Her Grandmother In Heaven

Kanye West displayed his emotional side on Twitter on the day of his late mother’s birthday.

Late Tuesday, the rapper took to the social media site sharing a sweet message about his mother Donda West and his daughter North.

“Nori asked if the airplane could take her to heaven to see you for your birthday, I love you mom,” West, 39, tweeted.

Attached to his message was a photo of West with his mother who died in 2007 from complications from a surgical cosmetic procedure.

The “Life of Pablo” lyricist most recently honored his mother at his Yeezy Season 3 fashion show in November, during which he wore an gray t-shirt that featured the airbrushed photos of his mother and his late father-in-law Robert Kardashian.

Above both pictures are the words “in loving memory.”

In addition to the shirt, West’s mother also inspired a new business endeavor – a video game, Only One: The Game, which shows Donda riding a white pegasus into the gates of heaven.

“The idea is that it’s my mother going through the gates of heaven,” the father of two said in an earlier interview. “You’ve got to bring her to the highest gate of heaven by holding her to the light.”
