Joseph Gordon-Levitt Jams Out for Subway Commuters

It’s no mystery that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a man of many talents. And over the weekend, he added subway performer to his already lengthy list.

Joseph treated commuters to a killer drum solo as part of the “Everyday, Spectacular” project. The Snowden actor wore a slick black-and-white suit while performing on his blue drum set in the middle of the subway platform.

A few commuters stopped to watch, though many were too busy to be bothered. One subway rider even stopped to tell Levitt that he looked a little bit like Pee-wee Herman.

The star shared video of his performance with his more than six million Facebook followers, writing, “I played the drums (in a subway) for our ‘Everyday, Spectacular’ project — now, where are all you musicians gonna play your instruments?” He followed up in the comments section by asking whether his followers “play Bass, Percussion, Horns — or any other kind of musical instrument,” and explained that he’s “looking for musicians (and vocalists, too!) to perform on” a track with him.

The “Everyday, Spectacular” project is a collaboration between Levitt’s production company, hitRECord and LG. Their goal is to challenge people to create “a spectacular moment out of that everyday situation.”
