Joseph Gordon-Levitt Is a Father
Joseph Gordon-Levitt has gone from kid star to IRL dad. The actor’s rep has confirmed to Yahoo that he actor’s wife, Tasha McCauley, gave birth over the weekend to a son, though she would not give any further details.
The 34-year-old actor, who is pretty active on Twitter, has not mentioned the addition to the family thus far.
Gordon-Levitt and McCauley, who is a technology entrepreneur with some seriously impressive credentials, met through mutual friends in 2013. They were married in a super private ceremony on December 20, 2014.
In fact, super private is a theme of Gordon-Levitt and McCauley’s relationship. Gordon-Levitt has said very little about his romantic life. In 2013, he talked about McCauley to Howard Stern, only to say that his girlfriend was “not in show business.” At that time, he also spoke cautiously about marriage and a family.
“I think that I could partner up with somebody — I don’t know who that somebody is — I could partner up with a woman and commit to we’re going to raise a family and that’s a project we’re going to commit to for 20-something years,” he said. “I like to not be too committed to any one future that’s really far away, necessarily, unless there’s a reason, which is why I’m saying if you’re gonna raise a family … I can make that commitment.”
Well, it looks like he’s decided he’s ready for the commitment now!
