John Stamos engaged to model Caitlin McHugh: 'She said yes!'

John Stamos is ready to live “happily ever after” with Caitlin McHugh.

The Fuller House star shared on Instagram late Sunday night that he proposed to McHugh, a model and actress whom he has been linked to since early 2016. Along with a drawing of a man and woman embracing in front of Cinderella’s Castle as fireworks go off, he wrote, “I asked…she said yes! … And we lived happily ever after.” The post ended with a diamond ring emoji.

I asked…she said yes! …And we lived happily ever after

Stamos, 54, first spoke about the younger lady in his life during a guest appearance on The View in March 2016. A week later, they were photographed together for the first time — eating ice cream and being cutesy. They made their red carpet debut at the Nickelodeon’s 2017 Kids’ Choice Awards in March of this year.

McHugh is obsessed with all things Disney, so their engagement announcement seems fitting. We wouldn’t be surprised if their proposal took place there too. They are frequent visitors at Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif.; she has said she’s a season pass holder.

"How do you spell love?" Said Piglet. "You don't spell it–you feel it," responded Pooh. #grateful #birthdaygirl

Earlier this year, the duo completed a short film called Ingenueish, which Stamos directed and McHugh starred in. Primarily a model, she has had several small roles in TV shows including NCIS: Los Angeles and Switched at Birth. In January, she told Entertainment Tonight that his support of her career is “priceless.”

Their engagement seemed likely, especially after we noticed that they have Instagram accounts for their two dogs — and they refer to themselves as “Mommy” and “Daddy” on them.

This will be the second marriage for Stamos, who was married to Rebecca Romijn from 1998 to 2005.
