Jenna Dewan Tatum and Channing Tatum team up for dance competition show on NBC

Jenna Dewan Tatum is busting out her dancing shoes.

The actress and dancer is teaming up with her husband and former Step Up costar, Channing Tatum, for a new dancing competition series on NBC.

The network has ordered six episodes of the as yet unnamed series that would see Dewan Tatum as a judge and mentor, a network spokesperson confirmed to EW. Channing Tatum, will executive produce through his company Free Association, but is not confirmed to appear on the show, Dewan Tatum’s reps tell EW. The exact format is unknown, but it’s hailed as a “fresh take on the dance competition genre.”

Dewan Tatum currently recurs on CBS’s Supergirl as Lucy Lane. She appeared on Fox’s dancing competition program, So You Think You Can Dance, a number of times, as recently as September in the season 12 finale. In January, she and Channing Tatum went head-to-head on Lip Sync Battle, during which she offered a memorable performance set to “Pony.”

Before Step Up, tDewan Tatum was a backup dancer for Janet Jackson in a pair of music videos and her All for You Tour, which ran from 2001 to 2002.

Dewan Tatum and producing partner Meegan Kiernan will executive produce through the former’s company, Purple Cup Productions, along with Endemol Shine North America. Peter Kiernan and Reid Carolin are also listed as executive producers.
