Jemima Kirke Strips Down in New Interview, Talks Feeling Guilty About Being Pregnant

Girls actress Jemima Kirke strips down to her underwear in a new interview for StyleLikeU’s series “What’s Underneath.” It focuses on women undressing while discussing insecurities, personal journeys, and other topics.

Jemima, the mother of two, talked about being pregnant for the first time. She said, “I was not ready to have a baby, I really was not thinking about what I was doing. And I was doing it in almost the same way as getting a haircut or getting a tattoo.” The actress was brought to tears while discussing the time she gave birth to her daughter, Rafella. “The guilt hit me the second she came out of me … [because] I was her mother. … I was, like, what did I just do? I just released a suffering person, ya know, and they’re just going to give me the baby. They should really have more of a screening for people at the hospital before they give the baby to you.”

Jemima also talked about Girls, which is coming to an end after its upcoming sixth season. She discussed how she was cast and how the role affected her. She said, “I was hired for some sort of brightness that I guess they wanted in the show that was specific. Ya know, it wasn’t an ability I had. And I think that made me both feel s***ty about myself and have a big ego.”

Jemima isn’t the only member of the Kirke family to do a intimate video with StyleLikeU. Two years ago, her sister Domino stripped down for an interview with the outlet.
