Maddie Spears is back at home!

Jamie Lynn Spears announced Friday that her 8-year-old daughter is leaving Children’s Hospital of New Orleans, following an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) accident on the family property in Kentwood, La., last Sunday. Maddie was steering the ATV to avoid a drainage ditch when she lost control and landed in a pond, where she became submerged in the water, according to local officials. Jamie Lynn and Maddie’s stepfather, Jamie Watson, were watching nearby, but they were unable to pull Maddie out of her seatbelt and safety netting and had to wait for emergency workers to arrive. On Tuesday, it was announced that Maddie was awake and talking.

“Thanks to the amazing first responders, and medical teams at University and Children’s Hospital in New Orleans, LA, we are headed home with our baby girl as she continues to recover,” Jamie Lynn shared on Instagram. “Above all else we are so thankful for each and every prayer, because we know that is what truly made the difference. Thank you again to everyone. We are truly blessed.”
