Hilary Duff’s Complicated Relationship With Ex-Husband Mike Comrie
Hilary Duff’s ex-husband, former NHL star Mike Comrie, is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department for rape. TMZ reports that a woman has accused him of raping her multiple times at his home in L.A. Sources close to Comrie said he has “known the woman for a long time and acknowledges he had sex with her but insists she gave full consent.” TMZ is also stating that there was a second woman involved in the encounter, but it is believed that she has not filed a complaint.
Hilary and Mike began dating in 2007 and were married in August 2010. In 2012, they had a son together, Luca.

In 2014, the couple decided to pull a Gwyneth Paltrow and consciously uncouple, aka separate. They remained very close and were even spotted in public together, holding hands and hugging. Hilary was very open about the possibility that they might get back together one day.
However, a little over a year after they separated, Mike reportedly got very drunk at an L.A. restaurant and began aggressively hitting on a waitress. He even supposedly offered to wait for her until her shift was over and take her out. Later, he allegedly offered to pay a different woman for sex. Two days after this incident occurred, Hilary filed for divorce from Mike. Their divorce was finalized in 2016.
The two have still remained close and were even spotted kissing after the divorce was finalized. As recently as January 2017, Hilary told Cosmopolitan, “Mike’s amazing … we’re so ingrained in each other’s lives. I wouldn’t choose anyone else to co-parent with. We are really good friends and care a lot about each other.”
