Has Iggy Azalea Reclassified Nick Young as an Ex Following His Purported Cheating Admission?

Sounds like Iggy Azalea might be pumping the brakes on her upcoming dream wedding.

The rapper’s fiancé, Nick Young, allegedly admitted to cheating on her while being secretly recorded by his Los Angeles Lakers teammate D’Angelo Russell. The video, which surfaced on social media on Friday, is the subject of a major sports scandal — his entire team is reportedly “ticked off” at him about the video leak — but our minds are on Iggy’s upcoming wedding and whether it’s off.

In the clip, Russell is purportedly quizzing Young on his conquests and the baller — who wears the number 0, which now seems quite fitting — can be heard talking about 19-year-old girl he met a club when he was 30. (In case you don’t know all your Nick Young stats, he turned 30 in June.) Russell also asks if he ever “tried” with Amber Rose and Young shot back, “No, she knows my girl.”

The Australian rapper, 25, took to Twitter on Wednesday to address the drama in a cryptic post. “hmmm i see D Angelo Russell is trending,” she wrote. “I actually liked his film. Thanks bro.”

While it could be interpreted many ways, a thanks bro for opening my eyes seems likely. After all, Iggy has been full-speed ahead planning their wedding. In January, she posted an Instagram photo teasing a sketch of her dress, which is being made by Giorgio Armani Privé, as well as fabric swatches. However, the date was recently pushed back. Originally set to take place at the end of this year, she told Ryan Seacrest earlier this month that they were now waiting “until the end of the next basketball season” because of her upcoming tour.

But while Iggy’s been working on her gown and other big day details, Young — who proposed to her at his 30th birthday party in June with a $500,000 engagement ring — hasn’t been the most excited groom-to-be around. He called wedding planning “a nightmare” in an interview with Billboard, adding that it “takes a lot of time and compromising and arguing.” He went on say, “I think we should go to the courthouse.” How romantic.

The truth is, it was never love at first sight for the pair. Iggy told the Australian newspaper the Daily Telegraph, “I hated him. I thought he was an a**hole.” She went on to explain that she went to a pool party in 2008 where Young was hanging out with fellow NBA stars and “I got in a taxi and left early because I felt like these guys are just a**hole basketball players.”

She was introduced to Nick for real in 2013 after he tweeted that he had a crush on her. It was several months after they started dating that she realized he was at the pool party. “When I figured it out, I think I was already in love with him. So it worked out!”

Or did it? Young has yet to officially comment on the alleged cheating scandal, but he did post an interesting reply to someone who tweeted that Nick “is me in a relationship” the day after his video first appeared on social media.

“You dnt wanna be me in a relationship,” the NBA star wrote.

Nobody wants to be Nick Young in a relationship today.
