A Friendship Is Born! Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper Hang Out Again After Their Film Announcement

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper are cruising through the Labor Day weekend.

The pair went grocery shopping together in Malibu, California on Sunday, two weeks after it was announced that Gaga, 30, will be making her big screen debut alongside Cooper, 41. The pop star leads the cast with Cooper, who is also making his directorial debut in the “reimagining” of the classic film A Star Is Born.

On Sunday, the future costars drove around in an old-fashioned Ford with Gaga at the wheel and Cooper riding shotgun. The stylish stars kept their looks casual, as Gaga wore a tank and short-shorts with sneakers and Cooper donned a backwards baseball cap, red shirt and dark jeans.

Gaga, who will also be writing and performing new music for the film, took to Twitter after the Warner Bros. Pictures announcement to share her excitement.

“I’m elated to be directed by & starring w/Bradley in this project,” she wrote. “He’s a brilliant visionary artist #AStarIsBorn #AStarIsBornCooperGaga.”

This isn’t the first time these new coworkers have hung out off-set. Cooper and Gaga took a motorcycle ride to dinner in Santa Monica, California, in April.

While no release date has been set, Variety said the studio is aiming to start production for A Star Is Born in February 2017.
