Esprit and Opening Ceremony Launch New Capsule
It seems like '80s and '90s nostalgia in modern clothes isn't going anywhere. And considering this nostalgia usually involves bright patterns, comfortable fits, and a plethora of sweats, you won't find us complaining. Nineties powerhouse Esprit embodies that laid-back ideal naturally, and even more so in its latest collaboration with luxury brand Opening Ceremony.
The two brands launched their second collaboration today, online at openingceremony.com.
"Esprit has this philosophy of California ease and boldness," said Carol Lim, co-founder of Opening Ceremony. "We share a lot of that ideal. It's really a match made in heaven."
The collaboration is a harmonious mix of both brand's aesthetics: The crewneck and hoodie sweatshirts, snapbacks, and T-shirts feel true to Esprit, but the bright patterns and colors reflect the modern Opening Ceremony vibe. Solid colors include baby pinks and blues, while the prints use bright red and blue hues. Prices range from $30 to $250.
The short sleeve button-fronts, mini daisy-printed tees, and patchwork fanny packs feel fresh off the Pacific Coast Highway-a recurring inspiration this season, it seems.
