Drake Does a Hilarious Rihanna Impression on ‘Saturday Night Live’

Oh Drizzy. Drake didn’t hold back when he hosted Saturday Night Live on Saturday, May 14, poking fun at himself during the opening monologue — and doing a surprising impression of Rihanna to boot.

The 29-year-old rapper kicked off the night with some quips about his Canadian origins (“No, you cannot move in with me if Trump wins”) and then quickly addressed the audience about something that was getting him down: memes.

“It’s almost like all I can do is sing about it,” he said as someone offstage handed him a microphone.

The “Take Care” hitmaker then launched into a pretty accurate recounting of some of the Internet’s most hilarious Drake memes, including one in which he’s sitting in a wheelchair as his former Degrassi character, Jimmy Brooks.

“Started in a wheelchair now I’m here,” the caption on the image read as the meme flashed onscreen, quickly followed by a screen grab of Drake in his “Hotline Bling” music video, with the words: “Are you gonna finish those fries?”

“Look, I get that I’m expressive but some of the memes are a little aggressive,” he rapped. “I would just say that it’s a little excessive when you go make me the face of Progressive.”

The good-natured rapper than faux-introduced his oft-collaborator Rihanna for a quick cameo, which just turned out to be him in a wig.

“See Drake in a meme meme meme meme meme. But I know what it seem seem seem seem seem,” Drake-as-Rihanna sang to the tune of “Work.” “And not that joke again gain gain gain gain. I swear we only friend friend friend friend friends.”
