Donald Trump Claims Mika Brzezinski Is Joe Scarborough's 'Long-Time Girlfriend' as He Takes Aim at MSNBC Co-Hosts

Donald Trump has called out the hosts of MSNBC's Morning Joe.

On Monday, the Republican presidential nominee took to Twitter to accuse Joe Scarborough, 53, and Mika Brzezinski, 49, of being romantically linked while calling them "clowns."

Trump's first tweet read, "Tried watching low-rated @Morning_Joe this morning, unwatchable! @morningmika is off the wall, a neurotic and not very bright mess!"

He followed it up minutes later with a second tweet that read, "Some day, when things calm down, I'll tell the real story of @JoeNBC and his very insecure long-time girlfriend, @morningmika. Two clowns!"

Scarborough quickly responded with his own set of tweets aimed at Trump, 70.

"Neurotic and not very bright? Look in the mirror," one read.

A second tweet mocked the real estate mogul's viewership: "Thanks for watching. Morning Joe is enjoying it's best ratings ever thanks to obsessed fans like you. GLAD."

Trump's tweets at the morning anchors come just a day after his new campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, stated in a new interview that Trump doesn't attack people personally.

"He doesn't hurl personal insults," she told ABC News, adding that Trump has "said that he regrets causing personal pain to those who feel it based on things that he has said."
