David Beckham Lip-Syncs Son Cruz’s Christmas Song — and ‘Embarrasses’ the Heck Outta Him

Is another Beckham jockeying for a music deal?

Young Cruz Beckham is enjoying his stardom for his new single “If Every Day Was Christmas.” His retired soccer star dad, David, however, seems to be a wee bit jealous (in the most playful of ways) that the 11-year-old is stealing some of the spotlight. While palling around together on Tuesday, the Beckham boys played with the Musical.ly app, which lets you lip-sync along to songs. Of course, Cruz selected his own track because what better way to promote himself?

But one of the takes, shot in front of what appears to be the Beckham family Christmas tree, includes both father and son. And as charismatic as young Cruz is, his hunky dad easily stole the spotlight as he pretended to sing about kissing someone (Victoria?) under the mistletoe.

“When your dad embarrasses you…” Cruz joked about his superstar dad (whom he is totally in awe of, if his Instagram feed is any indication). The elementary school kid went so far as to cover his ears in the bit — ’cause we all know mama Posh Spice is his more musical parent.

Cruz’s big musical moment has the support of his entire family (which isn’t lost on his biggest critic, Piers Morgan). All of his siblings — Brooklyn, Cruz, and Harper — appear in his video.

Young Cruz isn’t playing around when it comes to his musical aspirations, though. On Wednesday, he had his dad walk him by Abbey Road — (recording) home to many musical greats, including the Beatles.
