Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Are Expecting a Baby!

Chrissy Teigen’s Instagram feed is about to get even more interesting. The model and social media star and her hubby of two years, singer John Legend, are expecting their first child.
Teigen, 29, and Legend, 36, revealed the exciting news — how else? — but with a post on Instagram. “John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant,” she captioned a sweet photo of Legend feeling her stomach. “As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We’re so excited that it’s finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx"
Teigen first publicly spoke about she and Legend’s struggles to have a child last month on her talk show "FABLife” during a conversation with co-host Tyra Banks. Then, Teigen confessed that she was often hurt when the media asked about her plans to have children.
“I will say, honestly, John and I are having trouble,” she said. “We would have [had] kids five, six years ago if it’d happened. But my gosh, it’s been a process!"
She later explained that she’d wanted to speak out for some time.
"It didn’t feel right to ever tweet, ‘Ugh, doing my IVF shots again,’” she told E! News. “It just sounded silly. It definitely was not planned in that episode at all.”
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model has mentioned before that she and the crooner plan to have a big family.
“We want a lot of kids,” she told Us Weekly in September 2014. “When it happens, it happens. For us, it’s hard because he’s on the road so much and I’m working. People think it happens so easily… but the stars really have to align to have a baby and it is a little miracle so when it happens… we will be so happy.”
